I'm assembling two large pieces of 16 gauge steel sheet to a trailer floor. As manufactured, the plates are rectangular and the short sides are welded to the front and rear of the trailer. The length of the sheets is not well controlled, so there is an overlap in the middle where the sheets meet (one sheet is placed on top of the other and they are then welded down.
When I assemble the pieces, I can mate the faces of the steel sheets to the structural steel no problem. But I need to be able to make the sheet curl up on the end to go over the over piece of sheet.
