Thanks for your participation but be patient as it may take some time since SW2019 roll-out events are happening all over the world and the team might be busy working on that.
And do not worry on fact that your prizes (money) are going anywhere. They would be definitely delivered to you. And I hope to see your continued participation.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Its not about to take Some time or long time period to receive mail, as I know its big yearly contest of Solidworks and it should be in schedule of Solidworks team to update users time to time, because to provide service on time matters a lot for end user not to provide any time.

There are lot of things happening at this time (I believe) in the background and hence that delays the process but that doesn't mean they are not working. So please be patient.

Surely the Beta competition results take awhile to analyze and summarize??
So according to this:
https://www.solidworks.com/beta/forum-mvp-contest.htm
There are five $100 prizes.
In other words, SolidWorks is investing $500 in it's Beta program.
And we wonder why new releases are problematic!
Winners: how much time did you put into this effort? Divide $100 by the number of hours you spent and let us know what your time is worth!

That only one of the contest related to people participation on the forums.
You can see the other contests and prize money on same page. Also note that some of these are for each beta release, so 3x into the prize.
What's SolidWork's annual revenue?
Beta should be top priority. What's more important than having a solid version release?
The Beta program should be so enticing that people should be asking themselves "why shouldn't I participate?" rather than "why should I participate?"
What if they gave $100 for each bug someone finds? I'm not sure how many bugs they usually have in Beta, but if it's 1,000, which seems like a lot (I could be wrong), then it's only $100k for a company that makes magnitudes more than that.

Please do not take me wrong but participating in beta is optional and SOLIDWORKS is not forcing you to do the beta testing. It's an individual's interest to participate. Like for me I usually participate to see what new functionalities are coming and how they can be helpful to my me, my customers and other fellow users. Further by spending time in the beta I'm helping to improve the software which would eventually help me and others. Finally it is hard for any such company (as per my understanding) to test every scenario where the tool is being used by various of users in different domains and under different conditions. So they request/ask for help to fellow users by means of the beta testing. Even when we buy a car, we may go for a test drive? Why we want to do that and spend our time there while we may not get anything in return. Because we want the car to be perfect for our needs. And I feel we're trying to do the same thing with SOLIDWORKS here.
I think in some ways you're proving my point.
the more people using Beta, and the better the users testing Beta, the better SP0 will be. Am I wrong?
So the issue is that they need to do anything and everything in their power to get as many people involved in Beta as possible.
You must be very fortunate to have time to tinker around with Beta, for fun it seems, but many of us don't see this as a hobby and value our time. For every hour I spend on beta is quite a bit of money I don't put in my pocket.
Anyone who is using Beta and providing valuable feedback is providing a valuable service to SolidWorks. The key word is valuable.
You could say that they've gotten away without having to pay these people for their effort, but in fact they haven't. They haven't gotten away with anything because nobody trusts SP0, SP1, or SP2.
That's not embarrassing?
What if instead of a few thousand dollars worth of incentive to jump in and test Beta, they had a million dollars up for grabs (a minuscule fraction of their annual revenue). Let's say some of the top prizes are $1000? Maybe a hundred or so, and then big prizes all the way down to $100 or so. And grand prizes of a new workstation, a trip to SW World, etc.
Generate some friggen excitement about helping out for heaven's sake already. How many people would be clamoring to help report bugs and other problems?
Just imagine...
I've also received mail today, thought it was spam that had got through the filters!
Never won anything before
Is there a list of the contest winners floating around somewhere? I was apparantly 7th in beta1 exterminator and 1st in beta3 overall exterminator. Not sure how that happened because I only had time to test beta1 for a couple of days!
Yes Mahendra,
You are right. I have same question.
Also,Now We are unauthorized for Beta 2019 forum.
