So I am looking to attempt to add a lot of automation to our EC form. I would like to be able to input a part number and essentially query the description, where used, qty, etc to populate the form. So my question is this - in your opionons should I use xml, dispatch, API, C#, VB.NET ????
Should I just use xml to create the form within PDM, or should I use excel or word and add code to run the query?
Creating an add-in runs risk of compatibility to both versions and service packs does it not?
Any ideas, thoguhts, suggestions, or reference would be greatly appreciated.
