What decal making software (the artwork part) do you use and how hard is it to create your own custom decals?
Are any of these free for download or can be made online?
Kevin Andrews - For any picture that's not available I would design and model everything in SolidWorks and then do a save as a high dpi jpeg, then drag and drop like I mentioned above...
You can import/use the required picture directly into SOLIDWORKS without the need to convert that to decal. You can also save the image (during insertion) as decal if you need.
Kevin Andrews - I never use Decals, always drag and drop a jpeg right from File Explorer, onto either a profiled surface (split line curve or a flat face)
OK, maybe I wasn't clear enough....
I need to create a new decal/sticker/label that say: PULL - AUXILIARY PUSH - HYDRACHEM
Black background and white letters. Label size is approximately 1.5" wide x 1" tall
What program would you use to create a PNG image of this so that I can import, or drag-drop, onto the label base I will create?
Adobe Illustrator or PhotoShop.
Or software come with the decal cutter.
I am just now creating the label in Solidworks. I had brain farted and forgot that I could save as PNG...
You can also use the SW part file instead of creating a decal, just use the part file..
