I thought for sure I could find my answer with some searching but had no luck.
In SW2017, I have a part file with configurations controlled by a design table.
I'm trying to figure out if I can set configuration specific properties in the part so that the value for a property is populated with a value taken from the design table.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yes - that should all be in you Configurations Specific Tab in the Custom Properties of the Part, these are trump over the Custom Tab....
I understand that, but maybe my question was too vague.
An example of what I what to do.
I want to set the value "MBF120009-BALSTKB" in a column in my design table.
Then I want my part file to read the value in that column in the design table and place it as shown above.
I don't know how to label that column in my design table, and I don't know what put in the property to get it to read from the design table.

After inserting this property as you've shown in the screenshot, the next time you edit the design table you should get a message box similar to the one shown below that will allow you to add rows or columns to the table. That new "Number" property should be listed. Click on it to select it, then click OK. That should add a column linked to the property where you can fill in the desired value for the other configurations.
