SolidWorks 2016 is getting crashed. Getting error as mentioned below:-
Problem EventName: APPCRASH
Please assist in fixing this issue.
I'm thinking you'll need to provide a great deal more information.
I am having SolidWorks 2016 installed on Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) machine havin 32 GB RAM. I am trying to launch it when I am getting the mentioned error.I tried to launch it in GLMode from SW Rx but then it got launched without any error message.
I think you have your answer right there, if you can run it in OpenGL mode you have a graphics card issue. I take it your system does not have a SW certified graphics card? You may be able to get some resolution to your problem by using and older graphics driver, but this will require a trial and error approach.
I am seeing that the grpahics card and driver installed is VGABBIOS Cirrus extension(Standard display types) compatible,Microsoft basic display adapter. Is it the reason behind crashing?
your system is using integrated graphics? That will almost definitely not be supported. You can check here for supported graphics cards/drivers

Thanks a ton for your prompt resonses. I am working on it and if required any assistance,I will definitely get back on this.
