How can I get Solidworks RX to recognize who my system manufacturer is and what model it is?
darn thought that solidbox had that machine set up to fly with SolidWorks. why are you needing to do an rx? Unless you want to get a bench mark. They should also have an image of the machine if it ever goes haywire.
I guess if you get a SW certified computer, you expect SW to at least recognize it and give you a pad on the back.
I believe those info are in BIOS. Unless the reseller is able to modify BIOS, they can't put their name in.
I changed the names in registry:
Rx still won't recognize it.
Nah, absolutely no problems with the machine at all, it was just something I noticed.
Apparently it is quite common with owners of 'DELL' machines for some reason according to another thread.
My computer was built by IC3D, a part of Central Innovation
The people that sell SolidWorks
So i dont think you have anything to worry about
