Set Toolbox from SLDREG file

My company don't use Toolbox, we have custom toolbox. But Toolbox folder ("C:\SolidWorks Data") is needed for holes.

I want to distribute my unique solidworks configuration file (sldreg) to all machines. But every machine has a different folder, like:

- SolidWorks Data

- SolidWorks Data (2)

My configurantion use:

- SolidWorks Data 2013

When user start SolidWorks, he ask user to which toolbox folder want to use and the default answer (yes) is bad !

There is a method to set correctly from sldreg or without asking the toolbox folder ?

I thought maybe leaving the line in the config file blank might trigger SolidWorks to not change that value.

But instead it gives an error on launch and then this one when I try to go to the Toolbox tab in options

When I just created the options file I had the toolbox location set to a folder in the SWPDM vault, so it must have deleted that location out completely.

Yep, once I got it to actually go to the toolbox tab it was empty.

Sorry, that wasn't much help. But I will leave it here as an example of what won't work.

  It's a solution.
  However, I want to prevent users from getting their hands on the configuration.
  Currently, the only workaround I have found is to duplicate the folder so that, regardless of the answer, it still works.

    Can you use a common network location for the hole wizard folder?
    
    BTW why you do not use toolbox? Does your custom toolbox is on network drive? If not then why not? Finally why each user has different toolbox data folder name on their machine?

      I do not have a single network folder because it's very slow and some workstations need to work in standalone mode.
      
      I do not understand why SolidWorks asks for the wrong tools folder: in the configuration file there is the correct folder, but it remembers the last folder and suggests it even if it does not exist! mah ...
      
      He could not simply don't ask questions?

        It reads that information from the system registry I believe.
        
        Further your customize toolbox was made from SOLIDWORKS toolbox or your own files? And for the hole wizard, you only need the database file, so you may simply copy that file to your custom toolbox folder under the proper sub folder(s). That way you can sue both hole wizard and your custom toolbox.

        Because some workstation are been upgraded from previous version and some other not.
        
        For a complicated reasons, I cannot change the windows registry, otherwise, the best solution would have been to import a special reg file and overwrite where solidworks store the "bad location".

        Can you simply rename the toolbox folder to have same name on each machine? Or how about copying the database files into your custom toolbox folder?

        The simple rename of "SolidWorks Data" folder isn't good because, if the user answer yes to SolidWorks question, it make a mistake (toolbox folder missing).
        
        My solution is to copy the old folder in the new folder. If the user answer bad, it's not a problem, but is not a "clean solution".
        
        Soon, the 2018 version of solidworks will be installed. I hope to convince them to do a clean installation, using "SolidWorks Data 2018" and solve the problem.
