I am getting this error when making a sketch bend to my part. I have made this type cut before and not got this message before. Here is an image of the error message with the part.
I just figured it out. Since I did not start the part(another designer did) I did not check the table that was used. I checked to see and sure enough did not use the right table for the sheet metal part. I deleted and choose the right one and now it all works. I should have known to look there. I make life easier for all if they can only use the table I created.
Yeah I don't know why you would be getting this either. The only thing I noticed was the bend radius was smaller than the thickness of the metal.
When this was done before did it have the same radius and or was the K factor the same as standard or was it set to a special value?
Sorry I know that's not much help.
I change the K factor to .5 and it worked without an error.
Best of luck
It is the same radius I am using for all my bends besides the hem up top. It should have the same bend K-factor as a standard bend. The only special k-factor used will be for the hem.
Are you using a table?
edit: Is the radus measure correct for sheet thickness 1.51892mm (0.0598 ") in the table?
each machine for each material is different, however there are rules of thumb.
Break machines K=0.33 (used by many)
Folder K=0.26 (our shop folder)
The more you bend the lower K, Hems K=0.29
If you only bend a few degrees, K=0.45ish
We like R=1.4T to minimize cracks, can be controlled on a folder.
