I have a very specific and minor glitch that's been showing up for months, have some down time and it's annoying me extra today...
These icons cover the first choice in the menu when replacing a component in an assembly. It also often happens with the insert new component menu. Anyone know what's up with this? I can still select it, just can't read the first option.
Hi Adam Nunn, which version of SOLIDWORKS are you using? We had a problem like this a while back but it was fixed in 2016 SP5.
It's Solidworks 2016, I'm not sure which sub version though. I kind of figured it's one of those weird bugs that's just there... It just went away for you after an update?
You can check the service pack number from Help > About SOLIDWORKS, or you can see it in the status bar in the lower left corner (see screenshot below).
The problem with the overlapping icons in the Replace Component command was reported as SPR 979963 and fixed in 2016 SP05 and 2017 SP01 onwards. Updating to either of those versions should solve the problem for you.
Yep, we're on SP4, so that must be it, thanks. Now whether my work will want to do anything to fix it is another story!
