The tiny black spot in this picture is a 3d model I am working on of our production facility. My planes are WAAAAAYYY off in size. Autosize does nothing and I can't drag the handles to resize the planes. They are there, but nothing moves.
Hello Gary,.. it's most likely one or more of your components has a entity (line, axis,..), picture?.. or surface sliver.. so, you would need to go through each to find the culprit(s)...
I've been going through the parts and as far as I can tell they all are good. Everything zooms properly and fills the screen as individual components. Only the planes in the main assembly are out of proportion and will not adjust in size.
If you hide the planes in the tree, does it still zoom to fit so that the model is tiny, or does it fill the screen?
When I hide the planes in the tree, the model stays tiny on the screen.
I'd suggest suppressing all the components, then unsuppressing one at a time, checking to see if Shift+C will work okay at each stage, but Kevin Chandler's suggestion about posting the Assembly would probably be best.
Is there a part config that's different in the assembly than what's current when you open the parts to check if something is off in space?
Also, regardless of how far out I drag one of the standard planes, fit zooms in on the bits.
Can you do a pack and go and upload your assy?
When I have something like this happen I will box select as much of the screen to the wide side of the screen (away from your model) and delete everything in the box. Often what I find is that I have a stray nut or bolt off in never never land and can only find it with box select of everything.
