I don’t think that I will be able to complete the eCourse that I am currently working on before the Sept. 21st deadline. Will I be able to continue it for free after the 21st?
I'm in the same situation. I'll never finish the API one.
I have the same question. These eCourses are great learning tools and are offering things that are very useful to expand my Solidworks knowledge. There are more hours required to finish the eCourses than I have in my schedule. An extended time allotment would be great.
Can you breeze through them and take screenshots, or is it video/interactive/something?
It is video interactive but you can set your own pace. You can stop and restart where you left off. You can take screenshots. There are interactive examples to follow and other case studies that you do on your own. After going through the eCourse, you receive a certificate that says you have successfully completed the course.
Those eCourses are great. I am impressed that they have packaged their classroom courses and added those "try it yourself" interactive segments. You miss the classroom experience & question answering, but you can work at your own pace. I think SolidWorks was clever in offering them for free so that we can get hooked!
MySolidWorks Professorial is $360 /yr. (which includes certification-related content) and I see you can pay for eCourses alone per quarter. Not sure what each classroom course costs but $360 for all those courses seems money well spent.
Download training videos, watch anytime. this way there is no time limit.
I am using download helper.
Free eCourse access for subscription customers ends on September 21 at midnight ET. I sincerely hope you have enjoyed the promotion and are able to finish your eCourses in the upcoming days.
