Does anyone know a quick way to space out ordinate dimensions that still looks aesthetically pleasing? I know there's an option to "re-jog ordinate", but when I use this command I typically don't like the result and have to manually jog the dimensions anyway. For instance, I manually placed my dimensions at the top of my part as shown in the first screenshot below. Then I was making some changes to dimensions at the bottom of my part and used "re-jog ordinate", which caused the dimensions at the top to move to the positions shown in the second screenshot (for the record, I didn't like the result at the bottom either):
I feel like the re-jog command would work well for me if it would ONLY move the dimensions that already have a jog in them, and leave all straight-line dimensions alone. I don't use ordinate dimensions too frequently, but every time that I do I seem to run into this problem.
Soo.... I know that macros ain't errbody's cup o' tea, but you can either use a macro or wait until SW implements your daggum ER which is maybe never.
This version of the JoggleToggle macro will not de-select your dimensions, so you can go ahead and move 'em all around if you want. Of course, you still gotta click on it again to move it, but here's a tip that may make re-clicking easier: If, while the dimensions are selected, you use the arrow keys, you can move only the selected elements of the ordinate away from the others, like so:
As soon as you click on one of them, they will all jump back in line properly.
You can map this macro to a button or a shortcut key, put it on your "S" key menu, what evz.
