I had a question like in the title. Is it possible to get G4 surface continuity using SOLIDWORKS? Maybe style spline? Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!
I guess my first question would be "Do you really need G4 Surface Continuity?"
This might point you in the right direction - Class A surface models
In some cases, you may be able to accomplish this. But the software is not designed for this purpose. Imageware Surfacer (Add in to NX) and Rhino are designed for this and better tools for that application. They are Nurb based software vs. Primitive based software (Parasolid).
Since this historically related to reverse engineering of point clouds to scale up car bodies. Any point processing software also tends to be class A surfacing related. That kind of software is not history based but pure analytical geometry.
