Hello SW Forums,

I like using the view cube to easily change views and rotate parts, but the couple of seconds it takes to zoom out so I can see the full cube is pretty annoying. Often I just want to snap normal to the view I am sketching in, or to a view that would only require minor adjustment to snap normal to. I know I can turn off the cube using the View Selector button from the HUD, but I don't want to completely turn it off. I am also aware that the cube zooms out purposefully so you can select any face, and that you can use CTRL+# to snap to a view right away, but I just want to hit the spacebar+left click and be done as fast as possible. I would actually prefer to manually zoom to select a different face on the view cube when needed.

Is it possible to prevent the auto-zoom on the view cube without turning it off entirely?

This is kind of a ridiculous question and this magical solution would only save me about 60 seconds of time on any given day, but it would make my workflow much smoother.

Thanks!
