This is printed in High School for their project.
Seems like the student(s) or person(s) who did this job are not much familiar with the 3d printing. Just visit them and discuss about these issues.
Is there any special tool to remove support material? Because it seems very hard.
In general a putty knife (or some sharp tool) is used for these types of support material (though be careful in using the tools). But it might be not easy to remove it completely since it is on the inner side. Also it seems that they might have used the same material for support material which would make it little more hard.
Check with them about the properties of both materials and if support material is different then you might be able to find some other methods like other chemical (some support materials are water soluble) to remove the support material.
Your text is cut only about the depth of a single sheet of paper.
I would cut at least 3 to 4 times as deep if you want it to print. (and probably 5 to 6 times as deep minimum - it looks like that is a coarse printer)

How would it be possible to print less (.1mm) than the filament nozzle?
This doesn't make logical sense?
Use a blunt tool to apply pressure to the supports to break them (back up the walls with table while applying pressure).
Then use sharp tool to clean up.

Support material is added during the 3d printing process by the machine itself to support the overhangs.
So that if over hangs avoided during the design process you can get rid of support material.

No. I mean relative to your current geometry on this part.
Current engrave is 0.00393701 inch that means 0.1 mm. 5 to 6 times mean 0.5 mm – 0.6 mm.
Shrinkage value is given 0.01~0.02. Which limit should be added in the dimension lower limit or upper limit.
As usual, someone forgot the usual r.o.t. for accuracy. No feature that is functional should be less than 10x the smallest dimension that your 3D printer can lay down/build up.

They print with too much support material.
You text should be deeper. Minimum 1 layer thickness. 3-4 will be good. Text width should be multiple nozzle diameter.

Vertical distance measure in layer thickness, not nozzle diameter.
3D printer print in layers, from the bottom up.
Usually its 0.3mm, 0.2mm or 0.1mm for high detail.
Ask whoever do the print which setting they use.
Or just cut the text 1mm deep. If your nozzle is 0.5mm, make text at least 2mm wide.

Looks like your text is too small for 0.5mm nozzle.
Since your cover is only 1mm, try 0.5mm deep for text.
You should find out layer height from the print setting.
If layer is 0.3mm, you only have 3 layers. Cutting text to 0.5mm means there is only 1 layer left at the bottom.

Thanks. It is a good idea. I am going to make like this. Additional four legs are required to fix the printed circuit board.
It seems those are the support material (as visible in picture 1). Did you printed them in-house Or got them printed from an outside company? If someone else did the 3d printing them he/she might have forgot to remove the support material. Also the engraving didn't appeared on the part due to model thickness or too coarse finish. Discuss both issues with the person who produced these parts.
