A question to a Pro:
I need to build a surface between a profile and a curved face.
The surface has to be a linear one in this case.
Also it has to be tangent to the face at each point of contact.
The target surface is green in the attachment.
Is it possible in Solidworks?

My description of the problem was poor (
The surface must be formed by a STRAIGHT LINE swept along the profile and TOUCHING the surface at every point of contact.
The target surface is TANGENT to the face.

The target surface will be cut from foam by a hot string, that's why I need it to be designed that way.
I have no idea how to define the reference spline on the curved face.
Any ideas?

Yes, it is possible:
Although it would require you to split the surface of the sphere (or put some sort of sketch on the surface of the sphere) to give the boundary surface something to attach to.

I'm afraid I don't understand exactly what you're trying to do, but I'm pretty sure it is possible.
