by limit the software big brand should not SHow it’s inability to get free market.
solidworks is wonderful software and have many wonderful features in it with 3 d interconnect and feature recognition it have been updated like very few.
hence I personally feel that the should not do this arm twisting after subscription
No bad feelings or thoughts but if I go with your feeling and statements, then there should not be different version of SOLIDWORKS (aka Standard, Professional and Premium) and everything should be there in one single version and put a price tag that smaller companies/users (who do not want tools from Premium/Professional version) may not able to afford. So these packages/versions are designed based on needs of different companies/users and priced accordingly.
SOLIDWORKS as a company is not bound to give you something for must (I mean free tools). Not sure you know but SOLIDWORKS also offers free certification vouchers (worth few hundred $$) but yes you need to be on subscription to avail them. And for CAM tools, Visualize tools; they are offering it for free on a condition that user must be on subscription to avail it and I personally see nothing wrong with that.
