When I add a note to the drawing the cursor position does not show, and there is no format editing pop-up box.
Zoom in a little more to see the cursor???
Here is your Edit Bar
wow lots of fun when things don't show up like you would think they would. John caught that right off. I always have to take a look at all the screens I have to make sure I am not missing a dialog box somewhere. Kind of miss the old 15in single monitor some times.
If you do not see the text cursor when you zoom in check out this thread. My text cursor is missing when I edit note text - how can I get it back?
Although it is marked answered, the solution is a work around unless you do not mind not using your graphics card.
By the way, are you using Windows 10? I have not seen this on computers running Windows7.
Dave, this worked like charm. Only downside was slows down graphics and x-sections can't show "Keep cap color". I can survive with the missing cursor!
Yes, I'm running windows 10 and I see this in both 2017 and 2018, which correlated to windows issue and graphic card
Good catch on finding my pop-up text editor John.
Tried the Zoom but to no avail. However, David found the solution- Change to "Software, Open GL"
Peter, remember as David B. said, this is not a solution (running Open GL through SolidWorks). I'm also having the cursor issue on Win10 and with only 1 certified graphics driver as well for my laptop/Nvidia combo.
Has anyone found a true solution yet?
If you want a little work around, do this...
Nice work around John
No problem, the SPR # is 1080033 if you want to get in and vote for it!
If you turn off the Formatting toolbar, then when you edit a note, that toolbar will automatically pop up just above the note you're editing.
