Flat Pattern doesn't generate correctly. Hem features vanishes after flat pattern. Also the part as a whole misses all features.
You cut extrude features are creating issue with you using them for both directions. I've fixed one part and here is the result
Sorry working with 2017 so can't open them.
Would step files work ? See attached.
Couldn't get it to recognize it as a sheet metal part. Maybe our SP?
Ok got it to work without converting it. I just added bends to the part and flattened it. On one anyways other should follow suit I would think?
Oh Wow! When i created the part, it didn't work for me. The hem was creating an issue.
See attached images for the steps i followed to make this part.
The first image is an offset of the surface im trying to make this part on.
Can you share your sldprt files please.
Awesome. Yes, i saw the error and was trying to fix that. How did you fix it ? What exactly did you change in the cut extrude feature ? Can you please highlight it so that i can make the same change in the other part.
Your all cut extrude features were set to both directions and I changed them all to one direction only. You can refer to the updatd model in above post and compare.
I tried another way to fix this part. I did an unfold and fold and it got rid of the issue. I'm still struggling with MTL0160-00. Not sure why the sketch is having errors.
Just opened the stp files and you can insert bend and done
Wow! That works too. it's kind of weird. I made the part in Solidworks and converted it to step and then when we convert back to sheet metal it works. There was issue with the cut extude feature. By converting it to step and getting back into solidworks and doing a feature recognition the errors go away. that's a good feature. Btw, when i try to convert from imported step file to sheet metal , my Solidworks crashes.
