This happens when using document manager to get the array of configurations. It is only happening on a small percentage of files. The issue is repeatable. If I load the file in Solidworks, check it out, save it, close it and the check the file in it gets repaired.

Questions:

  1. What causes a Solidworks file to lose it's top level XML element?
  2. Is this repairable with PDM standard.

I understand that if I had ePDM I could automate the repair process. I have PDM standard so this is not a possibility.

Edit: Fat fingers.
