I love Solidworks hole callouts, they seem to meet my needs in a great way most of the time. However I am hitting a wall with slot callouts. The shop doesn't seem to like the way Solidworks calls out slots since there basically really isn't enough information provided. Anyone have any creative solutions for the slotted hole callout to be useful? This is a .332 wide slot that is 1/4" center to center but you wouldn't really know that from the callout.
If your shop doesn't like the hole call-out, and I'm not faulting them for that, I'd suggest just adding dimensions to the slot. That should greatly diminish the chances for mistakes.
