I created a template card that auto-populates an edit box.

Although I can make the edit box read-only so users don't change the values, I really prefer users to not even see the box/know it's there.

If I hide the edit box, or put it on a tab control and hide the tab, the edit box value/variable is not carried over to the data card when its created.

I know I could make the edit box really small, or thin, and "hide" it in the template card, but that seems like a "hack" way of doing it.

Unfortunately, it seems implementing PDM is like a puzzle.  I'm always trying to figure out ways to do things (hacks) that seem like they should be obvious or easy to do.

Any ideas on other ways to hide the edit box?  How have others done this?
