You did not mention what version of SolidWorks you are using. My guess is the contact dialog you are referring to is the global contact, which is node-to-node. I do not believe other options are available for a no penetration global contact.
To get the options for a no penetration contact, it is necessary to define a local contact set. Options available for local contact are: node-to-node, node-to-surface, and surface-to-surface. Friction and gap (clearance) settings are also available for local contact sets.

1) Go to Simulation Menubar>Options
2) Change to Default options>mesh
3) Check "Show Advanced options for contact set definition (No penetration and shrink fit only)
Now advanced options should appear for you.

Whew... a year since your post and it still helps... For the last two hours I have been looking everywhere to find out how to apply "no penetration"... and finally looked in here and whamo... here it is.

I realize this is an older post, but the answer you were looking for is in Simulation / Options / Default Options and check the box Show advanced options for contact set definitions
