I'd like to know what the difference between the process of setting up the FE analysis in Catia FEA internal solver and Solidworks Simulation is. Could anyone give me some specific details, please?
This is a general-type question. However, the general answer is some icons used for defining boundary conditions and mesh icons/options are graphically different, but the mathematics behind both is similar. Keep in mind that in CATIA you can only perform linear static (same as simulation standard in SW) and mode based dynamics. While for higher level of FEA analysis such as nonlinear/composites you need Simulia/Abaqus or SW Sim Pre. Hope it helps.
Have you attempted setting up an analysis in SWx?
