I would like to create a forming tool which creates a circular array of extruded holes, like the holes that you see for panel fans/speakers on sheet metal fabricated equipment. Is this possible to create such a tool?.Awaiting valuable reply
very possible, but the form tool could be potentially limiting based on your sheet geometry or desired use. If it is just a hole feature on a flat sheet I would recommend using a combination of extruded cuts and patterns.
perhaps showing your model or providing more details on specifically what you are having a hard time with could help.
Otherwise do a google search and walk through some of the form tool creation tutorials.
There's the vent tool for patterned holes w/o deformation. Give that a try.
In addition to creating your custom Form tool - you might also experiment with the Vent tool.
Bonus it will give you information on your flow area.
Edit: I see Kevin Chandler posted while I was looking for an example.
Thank you all,
But i would like to create something like this
You could use a fill pattern to do that.
Fill pattern is not a big deal. ince it is to be repeated often, i thought of creating a tool
Then I would do as Danny Edwards suggests and create a library feature.

As a caution, specialized features such as vent and fill pattern have been optimized for speed compared to their extrude cut/pattern equals.
You can make a special library feature to make the pattern if it is going to be the same feature you will use multiple times. Here is one I made for a gang punch.
