I am using AutoCAD 2017. For some reason, the program crashes frequently when I am opening the dwg file.
Any ideas on what is going on? I really need to fix this before next Friday. Thanks.
You could try using the AutoCAD Repair option and see if that works before resorting to uninstalling and reinstalling AutoCAD. More information: how to fix AutoCAD errors .

He possibly could mean that he is opening Autocad17 files in solidworks and solidworks keeps crashing. Giving him the benefit of the doubt. I open autocad files constantly in solidworks and never had a issue however.
Maybe you must to try using Amrecover or Recover on command line....but the best shoot is if you go to a Autodesk Forum....
