I imported this pinion gear from the tool box, but I'm not receiving any property manager to reconfigure it. Video shows the property manager shows up after the part is imported.
Am I missing something ?

What video?
Can you right click it and select Edit Toolbox Component?
Have you tried adding it to an assembly?
Cheers,
Kevin
If anybody wants to see for themselves.
It comes down to this: if you do not know what an involute is and why it is vital to gear design, you simply don’t know enough to do gears.

Hello,
Although I agree with Mr. Bear's post on YT videos being of dubious SW quality, I think your issue is that you did this as a part file and not as a required assembly file.
Although it passes by quickly on the video, you're supposed to start in an assembly and drag your gear (any toolbox component) into it.
Your OP image has "Part3", but as you can see below, there are no "Parts".
And if you try to open this gear from the assembly, SW displays this:
So, I suggest you start your video anew and with an assembly file.
More blather on YT SW videos:
Also check the video's vintage. This one is SW2014, so even if the quality is up to snuff, it's steps may not be correct for your SW vintage.
So, watch YT vids a couple of paces back, so you pick up more of the intent and the overall particulars instead of the detailed steps.
As you develop your SW skills more, you can then absorb the details and be better able to discern what's good and proper for your situation.
Cheers,
Kevin
Frank, I wish the Toolbox gears came plastered with a huge warning: "Toolbox gears are merely a crude representation and are nowhere close to the actual gear you are looking for." But then, I'm not in marketing so if the folks managing TB had a conscience they would put something up, but it would probably be stated differently.
Consider your frustration as a good thing as it gave you pause from using the Toolbox gear (just about everything else in TB is very well done, but the gears are not on that good list). You would be far better off finding any gear you need from a company's website.
