Hello I had a computer crash that was using solidworks 2010 and now I am trying to reinstall it on another computer but the DVD will not work and I can not find the online download does anyone know what to do?
I believe you'll need to contact the company you bought the software from so that they can deactivate it on the old computer and activate it on the new one. If that's wrong hopefully someone will correct me.
If the DVD is scratched or damaged, the company that you bought the software from might be able to get you the files needed to install.
(I used to keep copies of old DVD's and downloads when I worked at the reseller.)
Good luck getting it install.
Which version Windows are you using with the new computer?
Don't think SW2010 will install on Windows 10.

I didn't even think about that. Windows 10 wasn't supported by SW until SW2015 sp 5, if I remember correctly.
Windows 10 is a conspiracy to save the PC industry by forcing everyone to upgrade everything
With 8 years of Windows updates, even Window 7 maybe not allow the install.
