What is the exact procedure for lifting one plane off the other (separating planes). I've watched several video's , video's claims you hold down the control key and "Just" drag the plane off the other. But that's not working for me.
Am I to hold down the left mouse key first then control key the entire drag ? or does the mouse cursor has to be on a entities ?
What is the step by step procedure please.
thank you.
I had to revisit this post from a year and 5 months back. I thought I had it figured out because a passed responders explaination to my question. But I've now learned he explained wrong. After further study, I've learned to make this operation work, first (in my software anyway) I cannot be in sketch mode. I have to be in a "Neutral" mode (I'm guessing that's what it's called ?). Then I have to select the plane I wish to make a copy of from the part manager, hover the pointer over the edge of the selected plane until the X appears, then hold down the ctrl button, then left click and drag to get the second plane and open the "Plane" feature in the Property manager to set the plane distance.
Anybody disagree ?
Thank you, Frank
