When rotates parts interfere with each other. How fix it?
Had a look Maha
its like the uni joint spins one more than the other for half revolution?
Mabye a Bug?
turn 90 deg
found that you can use perpendicular mate between these faces and it behaves much better
Perpendicular mate between these faces has interference.
If you model the pivot block in the middle & mate it correctly, you will find it behaves a lot more as it should. If there is still interference then the UV joint is designed badly & needs to be adjusted.
This dimensions seem very big and small. If you have a properly modeled UV please upload the folder.
Here's one we have, it's not perfect, just made to be functional but does what we need.
You could also try downloading a few examples from McMaster-Carr.
Design adjustment gives correct result with UV joint mate but to experiment with it, I suppressed UV joint mate and try with perpendicular mate it gives incorrect result.
Attached is a u-joint assembly w/o UJ mates. I think it predates this mate type.
But I uploaded it for reference anyway in case it may help.
