could you anyone able to help in this, I can't able to entre value in dialog box. it shows like locked.@Glenn Schroeder
Do you mean you had a linked dimension like this?
If you were to unlink the value, a grayed out global variable is still there and you can make an equation
Note the different symbols!
Here I deleted the link value and recreated it as a true global variable
was your global variable linked to an external file?
That seems most likely..
even when I unlink the global variable, it doesn't allow changes from modify dialog unless you unlink the equation as well
Could it be that?
Works for me!
..unless the GV has units!!
It can easily get a bit confusing
What does it look like when you open Equations?
Can you share an example file?
I think I've seen this before but I cannot reproduce the issue at the moment
Ah my memory started working again!!
See this post.
re: The ability to modify Global Variables without opening the Equation Manager
It was actually linked before now i removed the link, but still link symbol is showing in equation. How do i remove the link from equation, which i am not using actually. I belive that's the reason i can't able to edit here. Thanks for your reply.
Sorry for delayed response. Then thanks for your valuable reply, it helped me a lot.
Make sure dimension D2@Sketch1 is not marked as read only.
