How to add an edge flange in inside edge of a hole in sheet metal?
Maha,, Change your Cut-Extrude1 to a "Normal Cut"
What are you using it for? Does it really need to be SM? Think from a manufacturing perspective..(visualize the bends unfolding into a flat pattern..), how would you create a flange on an internal round profile without adding material? The flange size and shape would be directly related to and limited by the hole. I'm sure you could find a work-around to make it appear as one, but it would never fold flat.
You should be familiar with basic MFG processes when doing design work to know, and be able to reflect the appropraite methods of creation. (ie, will this REALLY be created from sheet metal? if so, will the internal flange be attached as a secondary piece? or formed from some sort of punch..)
Just for curiosity. In YouTube I saw a tutorial on adding Edge Flange on a curved edge. I wish to know how to add in a circular edge.
