    Linking Properties to Title Block

    Devin Ford

I am creating templates for multiple drawings. I have linked the text boxes with custom properties - Model found her - Drawing view specified in sheet properties to get the macro $PRPSHEET:"Revision" and so on. I would like to have a cover sheet and have the model an sheet 2. The only way I can get the linked values to populate the Title Block is if the model is on page 1. Is there anyway to fix this? Or do you have any suggestions for something I ma doing wrong? I am new to creating templates and sheet formats.

      Thanks!

          Hey Devin,

On your cover sheet, right mouse click in the blank area of the sheet, or on the sheet name in the FeatureManager and choose 'Properties'. Then, near the bottom, choose a drawing view that you added on one of the other sheets for the 'Use custom property value from model shown in' selection. You will then be able to link text to properties from this drawing view you selected using the 'Model found here' option.
