We have just installed SolidWorks and I am trying to setup a company standard drawing template with company logo, UOS tolerances etc. Whats the best way of doing this as I can't find anything for this in the tutorials?
Welcome to the forum. You need to be in "Edit sheet format" mode when setting up your title block (with sketched lines, Notes, and inserting a Picture for the logo). Then you need to save your sheet format and drawing template. Please review What's the difference between a sheet format and drawing template?, then come back here with any specific questions.
One of the easiest way is to open one of the most suitable template size from the standard SolidWorks list, modify, change, add all the information you want and then save with your own name choice
Hope this helps
if you have a previus Autocad template you can import it on SW and made some little changes if you need one example from 0, I will make it a video showing you the how to if you want it.
Thanks for the feedback. I have been through the "Customize SolidWorks" tutorial but I was just hoping there was a more sophisticated method of building the template. I was hoping there was wizard that let you drag and drop the desired fields into position. In our old system (HyperCad) you had to sketch lines and position the text etc but I always found this a bit old school.
