Hi all,
I've been trying to CAD a cylinder with a pattern of holes going around the circumference. I followed the youtube tutorial here:
but each time I apply the circular pattern, it changes my wrap feature from this:
To this:
Are the holes actually still present? If so, how do I change the display so that they appear as holes again.
If not, what am I doing wrong and what should I change?

Not sure what is going on there Colin. I take it you are doing a circular pattern of a Wrap feature. Seems to work for me. Can you attach your attempt? (your file)

I have not done anything with Wrap, so I don't know the feature and am no help for your question.
I thought I'd mention that if you intend to punch a flat sheet, then roll the sheet into a tube, wrap is a good way to go, because the walls of all the holes will be perpendicular to the wall (not cylindrical). If, though, you intend to drill holes in a tube, you would be more accurate to extrude a hole through the tube wall, then make a circular pattern of that hole. Modeling it that way, the walls of all the holes will be cylindrical.

Dwight Livingston, This part is going to be 3d printed, so it doesn't matter too much to me. Although after reading your post, I think extruding might be a marginally better solution for what i want to do. That being said though, I'm still really curious why the circular pattern changes my feature, and hope someone could help!

Thanks everyone for your help, I've realised my mistake and it's a dumb one.
I was doing a circular pattern of the entire body, not just my wrap feature. That way, the outlines of the holes are visable but covered up by material. Thanks again!
