Looking for a part among 1000s of parts... and I can't find it. It's a man leaving that footprints. Is there a hidden shortcut to search for specific body/part?
it's a bit frustrating.
hover the mouse over it and right click.
then pick and select models ... if u pick it correctly. then u will see its highlighted in the design tree
the model is hidden. so i can't select it.
I hid the model within visualize because I thought it would completly ignore it. But it doesn't. So the only way was to delete it.
Hi Damir ,
for future reference you can use the disable check box at the part selection screen to hide the part so it does not reflect in the environment.
also if you do want to hide a part AND have it reflect in the environment you can use the Faded option in the same spot.
If you can upload the folder it is useful because I am interested to learn assembly contain very large part files.
sorry, that's company's property so I can't.
basically SW visualize needs search button. And some better management with parts. Maybe something that you could browse through parts that are located at mouse pointer (hidden, disabled or visible). What would be also good is if visualize could import assembly sctructure tree from solidworks and use it here.
What I also noticed that if I click on a part, it doesn't scroll to it, but it's only expanded in the list.
I've been heard
Your missing element is "Walter White", they're his footprints........lol
Sorry, I couldn't resist and I hope you get the joke reference.

As a long time user (Bunkspeed), after the last upgrade from 2017 to 2018 the thumbnails were removed from the model tree. I work with large assemblies all the time. It was the easiest way for me to assign materials to fasteners, washers and other miscellaneous parts. Now there is now way to identify the long list of items. Evidently this removal was added as an enhancement to increase the performance of the working environment. There seems no work around now and my performance has been 10X slower in materializing parts. The thumbnails would have greatly helped you to identify your item. I have not heard back from Brian Hillner (Product Manager). I will soon put in an enhancement request to add the thumbnails back in. I posted on this forum and have had no replies yet and hopefully see some activity to my posting.
Good luck hovering with your mouse. Works for me for the first few items but have to stop, frustrated thinking it was deemed an enhancement.
