I tried to change a file state and got a message: "FIle is in wrong state" Is there a way to ignore the warning and force changing state
actually I'm the admin and testing the PDM standard now
In my other post, I don't want the users check out/in the file already released. if there needs a change on a file, it needs to be changed to different state, "request change" so the file can be checkout for modification.
So is there any option I can set in the admin to ignore warning?
Hi Jake what is the situation with the files you are trying to transition? Is it a part and its drawing?
Most likely you are getting this error because a file that references the file you are trying to move through the workflow is in some other state, for example if the part was approved before its drawing or vice versa
The reason why you can't proceed forward, check your User/Group permissions, and the warnings section, especially for Change State, you most likely have the "File in wrong state" warning selected.
Kind regards
Prasad
No you can't get around this. You need to look at the workflow and determine why the file can't be transitioned..
