I made an assembly with 100~200 sub-assembly and parts.
I'm having a problem with mirror the whole assembly including all the sketches inside.
So, basically what I need is, Separate exact same file but mirrored component with all mirrored sketches including dimensions and everything and all the sub-assembly and parts with it in case of future revision.
Could anybody, help me with this please?

Hello. I need to mirror a part to be fixtured and laser marked on both R and L edge.
I thought I could create a plane, and mirror the part about the plane, but it disappears when I need it. It also cannot be moved up the tree so that it is always "on".
I tried to rebuild the Assy and place the fixture on the origin and use the right plane. When I turn on the right plane (or any other, they disappear as well).
Is it not possible to mirror a component in solidworks ??
I do not want to create a faux feature just to have a surface from which to mirror about - that would confuse the machinist.
I cant just suppress or hide the faux feature for mirroring b/cse that make the "child" objects (my part I wish to fixture - disappear).

Are you selecting "Bodies to Mirror" when you create the second one? "Features to Mirror" will be selected by default, but you'll get better results with "Bodies to Mirror" instead. If yes, that's because you can't move a feature higher in the tree than other features that it depends on.

If you mean your planes disappear, do you mean they don't show in the graphics area, but are still showing in the tree? If yes, then they're probably just set to not show. Go to View > Hide/Show. Make sure "Hide all types" isn't selected at the top of the list, and then make sure "Planes" is selected. However, if you want to sue a plane to mirror you don't need to make it visible. You can select it from the tree.

I remember now - thanks - I needed "Bodies to Mirror" selected.
Funny thing is - I've done it before, but couldn't think of the step I was missing.
(I was good on all the other stuff you mentioned).

So far as I know this is not possible. You can mirror geometry (bodies), but not the entire feature tree with sketches, etc.
There are about 10 different ways to mirror things, if you could post an example of a file you are trying to mirror, or provide more information that would be helpful.
