I have downloaded Solidworks 2018 in my portal download page. When I run setup, the message I get is:
The 2018-2019 SW Education version cannot be installed. Please try again with a new download or after the 2018-2019 version is released. Where can I download the 2018-2019 education version and has it been released?
I downloaded 2018 from the Support\Downloads page.
I think you've download commercial version (I may be wrong) instead of education. Did you got email with download instructions?
BTW SW 2018-19 education version is already released Education Edition 2018-2019 | SOLIDWORKS
I have not received an email for 2018-2019 download. I have downloaded 2018 from the customer portal.
Customer portal only has commercial version. So are you installing (or looking to install) commercial version or education version? If education then you might not have the correct files.
Have you tried contacting the student/education support from the link I gave in the post above?
