Hi Anne ,
it is not currently possible to re-import or update Animations when the model changes , what is is that you are trying to accomplish with the multiple motion studies?
could you combine the motion into one study specific for the visualize import? - this would be the easiest method
If it showing two animations with the same model I would try using the autopaint option to map the materials in the first project so when you import the second one you will not have to re apply the materials.
There is a great thread on Autopaint here : https://forum.solidworks.com/message/822490?q=auto%20paint
another option could be to use model sets if you needed to work in the same file and you could copy and assign materials from one model to another.
I have found if you use save advanced method (rather than export advanced) to create a separate SOLIDWORKS Assembly file containing the animation then this does update the animation when you overwrite it and choose yes to the prompt in visualize that the file has changed.
I have tried your solution but I'm not sure if I can make it work.
I just have to test it a bit more. Thanks for your reply.
hi I found out what may problem was.
The solution is working, but i have to delete the old motion study before I take in the new one. So it is possibel
thankyou for your replay,
In fact, auto paint was exactly the solution I needed, I just did not know it existed so it was absolutely fantastic.
