macbook pro video driver issue

I have a macbook pro running Win XP in bootcamp:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
MacBookPro4,1
x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel ~2493 Mhz
BIOS Version/Date Apple Inc. MBP41.88Z.00C1.B03.0802271651, 2/27/2008
Total Physical Memory 4,096.00 MB

Nice machine, but about once or twice a month SW causes a blue screen. When it reboots XP detects the failure and loads one of those web pages indicating a failure in the video driver. I cannot make the failure happen, but when it happens it is always the same. It is clearly SW triggering the problem.

I have made sure I have the latest bootcamp and drivers and I have logged a case with Apple about this but after the initial call ("we don't support Windows") they do not bother to take my calls even though it is clearly a driver problem.

There is also an issue where it will lock up when XP goes into standby.

I am a little upset with Apple for ignoring me (if they don't support their own driver then why write bootcamp?)

Any advice on this one? Yes, I am aware this is not certified hardware for SW, but otherwise it seems work fine.

Based on this experience I could not recommend Apple hardware.
