Hi guys,

We currently have Solidworks Background Downloader installed on a Windows 2012 R2 server and I would just like to understand more about it as when I read about it, it says it picks it's updates up from background processes but there is no Solidworks installed on this server, does the application have to actually be installed on the server or do I have to install the Background Downloader on the users machine where Solidworks is installed?

I looked at my Solidworks Background Downloader and it says "Not currently downloading" and Check for Updates is greyed out?

Please can anyone advise / help?
