Are you using 4K monitor? There is a SPR 1051454: Measure tool text is very large in SW 2018 with 4k monitor.
You can contact your VAR to attach your company to this SPR. This should speed up the work on the fix.
Here is a screen shot of what I have. I have tried changing resolution of the display to no avail. Points, intersections and center points are also hard to select. The palette views for drawings i can barely see they are so small. Any help in resolving these problems would be much appreciated. I think they are all related.
I have the same problem...Dell 7720 w/NVidia quadro p4000..3840x2160 resolution....also solidworks explorer is unreadable...it is also very difficult to snap to points...I have turned in to VAR and no response or fix. If anyone has a solution please post.
I also have a 4K screen and I've decided to change resolution to FHD and 100% DPI.
The only things you can do:
1. Try to change DPI to 100%, restart machine and check (screenshot in Polish, but I hope that you recognize the window):
2. Change the resolution to Full HD and DPI 100%
3. Write to your reseller to attach you to specific SPRs. There are 39 SPRs about 4K problems. In example:
Can you please let us know if this issue still persists after you reduce the resolution of your monitor in the control panel? Maybe try 1080...
A quick update, we have a fix for SPR 1051454 in SOLIDWORKS 2018 SP4. Please keep letting us know where you run into problems at high DPI.
Here are some more problems:
Solidworks 2018 sp3-high resolution
Font to large and erratic in measurement
Solidworks explorer is unreadable
Feature manager wont stay in last position used
Feature manager goes back to split randomly
Options/Units is not proportioned right-hard to read
Feature manager design tree doesn’t remember the last position
When turn parts into sheet metal-part looses all refs in assemblies
Constantly having to reload software because save as description keeps disappearing.(local fixes don’t work)
Solidworks uses only 1 core for processing…thus my computer uses only ¼ of its processing power…this really needs to be fixed or you need to warn users of this fault….We are buying expensive computers and not even coming close to using its capacity.
