The weldment tool is nice for frames, but sometime I just want a piece of tubing or some other structural profile. Is there a way to just use the library features outside of a weldment? I am currently using the weldment tool for these single elements and all it does is make my BOM look like crap. It would be awesome to have the length and end angles come along for the ride without the additional line in my BOM.
Am I just being unreasonable?
Use these as this would create a sketch for you which you can extrude as needed
Tools > Toolbox > Structural Steel
That is along the lines of what I thought I should be looking for, but I do not have a "Toolbox" under my tools drop down.
Do I need to add some plug in?

Seems like you've SW standard version which doesn't have toolbox. Your best options would be to use the profiles as sketches (blocks) like Tony has mentioned.
All you need do is go to the folder your weldment profiles are located in (system options/file locations/Weldment profiles) and drag them into your model. However, you will not get angles and length these are functions of the weldment functionality.
The weldment profiles are just sketches, you should be able to copy them.
