I have a drawing with the dimensions in decimal format
Am trying to change them to feet and inches
Some of them change to inches and fractions and others are still in decimal format
Using SolidWorks 2018
Were those overridden in their Property Managers?
Good thought, but no they were not.
Either change the number under fractions to a larger number (I tend to go with 256) or select "Round to nearest fraction"
Example: If you have 4 in the fractions area of the picture that I have above, and you DON'T have "round to nearest fraction" selected, then any number that is not directly divisible by 1/4 does not show up as a fraction. Like 0.125. This would still show up as a decimal in this case.
Changing it to 256 however, takes most fractions into account.
I also tend to NOT check "Round to nearest fraction" because I want to know that my dimensions are exactly what I want them to be.
Thanks for the help. The only way i could get it to work and get ALL of the dimensions to change to feet / inches was to change the unit system to custom and change the unit length to feet and inches.
Ahh....I thought you were more focused on the fraction portion of it. My bad. Yes...that is the way.
