New HOTFIX for notifications in SP2.0

My VAR jsut sent me the hotfix for notifications in SP2.0. This is supposed to fix the delay in state changes with notifications enabled.

Enterprise2009SP2_SPR472293_HotFix.dbu

You should ask for this file from your VAR

  It is a hotfix to fix a performance problem related to notifications.

    The hotfix fixed all our performance issues with notifications and state transitions.

        What other performance issues does this fix? We are seeing the above mentioned along with long "get version" times as well. Our IT department would like to know how to implement this hot fix?
