Hello,

Your emails get one each for every contribution made by someone to a post you replied to, plus any mentions you got, etc.

Your forum inbox line item count will be the posts you've replied that someone else has since replied to, plus a count of the number of responses for this one post since your last opened it (or marked as read in the inbox).

Plus other notifications.

So if you've replied to two posts, then that's all that will be listed, regardless of the number of replies in each post.

If you will notice....this is my inbox:

The red 2 on the left means that 2 threads have been updated that I am following in my inbox.

The little green 2 that I am pointing to with the big red arrow shows that there have been 2 posts to that thread......making a total of 3 emails that I would have gotten (if I had email notifications on....which I don't!)
