How does one change the mouse cursor to another option ?
And . .
How does on post a screen shot or snipp it with in this field ?
Not sure what you mean by mouse cursor but you can simply paste the snip it image into this message/post box by pressing ctrl + v.
Thanks for the response Deepak,
Right now as I start to sketch, my mouse cursor changes to a Cross hair and magic wand looking thing. It's annoying. I'd rather have a pencil tip.
Is there a selection or setting changes available somewhere ?
And I can't use the snipping tool because that requires I use the mouse cursor and you cannot use both at the same time.
When I tried a screen shot, it does not show the cursor for some reason.
Use Greenshot. You can get the mouse cursor to appear in screen shots in their settings.
Is "Greenshot" a download ? Thank you
Is this your issue?
from SOLIDWORKS 2016 - User Interface Update
Great explanation there Josh, but I'm using a Student edition of SW16' and don't believe I'm allowed to update any part of it.
It funny also because my next question to the forum was going to be how to change my features tab icons back to the 15' version colors.
Mine is a pencil! 2017
Can I ask why you want to change your mouse pointer and within what area?
The mouse pointer or cursor is interactive as in it changes with what you are doing in SolidWorks and therefore I can't see why you would want to change it, hence my question above buddy.
A Aussie Dave ! ! Still here I see. Hope you've been well ?
I've been away for quite a number of months. I got distracted and dropped out. What a mistake that was. Now I have to relearn everything.
Such is life.
Mouse Pointer is a system wide setting. You can change mouse pointer in control panel/hardware and sound/mouse or if in windows 10 settings/devices/mouse.
From there you can select pointer tab and change individual pointers or create a new scheme or upload your own icons and create a new scheme.
Different Colored Mouse Pointers Cursors
Changing the Mouse pointer is an OS level thing. So we would have to know what version of windows you are operating in order to tell you (I assume windows 10 or windows 7). Please let us know.
I sympathize with this, because I hated the little arrow. So I changed it to this:
So, in Windows 10, to change the mouse cursor, you would follow the instructions here:
