Re: Bending stiffness of a material.
Ryan Dark May 29, 2018 2:29 PM (in response to Tabitha Dujardin)Hi Tabitha,
You will find that when you start getting into materials that are soft enough that they can be deformed by your bare hands that SOLIDWORKS Simulation tends to have a tough time with the stability of the analysis. The only stable setup you might get going is a cable in tension. So, what is the situation you are trying to analyze and do you have a model/study setup with what you are trying to make happen?

Re: Bending stiffness of a material.
Ryan Dark May 30, 2018 11:15 AM (in response to Tabitha Dujardin)The solver works because your bodies have a minimum stiffness. You can try decreasing the Elastic Modulus in the material applied to these bodies and see what happens but I believe the analysis will become unstable/unsolvable before you get to the point where you can have good results.
